#39 "Batman"

Another baby found while doing our shelter checks... I was sent this baby's picture and my heart stopped.. I swore he was Maddox but then we found out he was 20 pounds and still intact so we knew he was not my baby.. I thought about this baby all weekend and could hardly stand the thought of him being at the shelter.. I was sharing & sharing & admit turned to begging rescues to take him..

Well my prayers were answered because this poor baby was put on the list but was saved within hours!!!

Hi, I am Batman. I am a four year old Manchester Terrier that weighs about 20 lbs. I came to the rescue within hours of dying. They had even given me a number. It was so scary!! He had heartworms and has been treated but is doing great!  He is looking for a family to love him & spoil him rotten!!!

#36 - #38 (Mommy & Babies)

**RESCUED BY IMPS & TEAM MADDOX**
Min Pin Mommy & Baby Min Pins at Oklahoma City Shelter SAVED BY MADDOX!!;))
Team Maddox rocks! It took an army but we got them out of the shelter and they are FREE! Thanks to Elizabeth for fostering, Shelley for helping to coordinate everything and picking them up and taking care of them for a few days, Wanda for getting IMPS to sponsor these cuties, and of course Donna for doing the shelter checks and sending me these babies since you know I will not stop until they are safe! ;))

#35 "Scout"

Team Maddox got a call on the hotline of a Min Pin roaming. She had called because saw one of our old signs and thought it was Maddox.  She was able to get him to jump into her car. We have been searching for his family with no luck but he is in good hands with a local rescue. His name is "Scout" because he is scouting for his family.  :)

#34 "Faith"

During our regular shelter checks received photos of a Mommy and 6 babies at the shelter.  Donna went to check on all the babies and all babies were gone but Mommy was left behind. Donna of course could not  leave her there so she saved her!  Meet Faith! She is very smart and a sweet-heart and has the cutest personality!  This doll baby looking for her forever home!

#33 "Tiger Bear"

Vivian Sparks Wheelock was able to save a missing dog!!! Add another dog saved by Maddox! Earlier today Vivian found a white cute dog that was covered in stickers. She worked at climbing a fence, hanging out on the ground all before work (while in a dress w/high heels!) to save him. With the help of her neighbor she was able to get him into a crate. Stephanie Sessions & Jennifer Fors Stephenson went by and picked him up and took him to a vet to check for a chip. He had been reported missing & had a microchip! He was reunited with his Momma Dog today & she was so thankful. Meet Tiger Bear - 10 yr old American Eskimo.

#32 "Dewey"

During the regular team Maddox shelter checks I received a picture of "Dewey".. He had been surrendered at age 15. I wasn't about to let anything happen to him.. This huge smile melted my heart so I started sharing him everywhere I could think of.. Next day I was so scared to look since was told he only had a day left but then got the best news ever that Someone in Ada, Oklahoma saw his picture and saved him! Yay!!! Ironically Maddox is from Ada, Oklahoma.. Is it a sign?? ;)) Enjoy your life sweet Dewey!! ;)

#31 Black aka "Rascal"

Team Maddox found another Maddox lookalike in Oklahoma City after we received a call of a possible Maddox sighting. He is a Black & Tan Min Pin and looked alot like Maddox. We had an incident where he got scared and bit the girl that called us about him. A team Maddox member and the caller were able to capture him and then we took him to the Vet to keep him safe while we tried to find his family. We knew his family had to be missing him! He is adorable and a sweet-heart!!!! A couple days after being at the vet.. He started crashing and could not stand and would not eat anything. We had him on IV's and were doing everything we could for him. After several tests, we found out the poor baby had prostate cancer and was really sick. =''(( He still had his "jewels" and we knew the best way to treat him was to remove them. We had to wait though until he was strong enough and had to wait a certain number of days since we technically needed his families permission. Obviously if it was a life or death situation we would of just done it.. But luckily after a few days a Team Maddox had a customer at the bank that saw her Maddox poster and told her that a friend's baby went missing on Tues July 16th during the storms. His name is Black, 7 years old, 10 lbs, ears straight up, docked tail, no chip. He was wearing a silver chain collar. Vivian promised we would keep an eye out and posted on our private group page. Immediately we all knew it had to be "Rascal"! :) This is truly an amazing story about how things just seem to work out and come together when it is supposed to and another true Maddox save since Black would not be alive if we didn't find him. First we got the sighting call since our signs are everywhere for Maddox, then a team Maddox member (Stephanie) and the caller were able to lure him and capture him, then another completely different team Maddox member (Vivian) was at the right place at the right time and is always talking about Maddox to find his Mommy..Just think if the friend of the mommy didn't' go into he bank or the caller didn't call. But we do not have to think about all that because he is safe now!

#30 "Bella"

Team Maddox was doing regular shelter checks for Maddox and sent me this sweet girl named Bella. She was surrendered which meant she did not have alot of time! =""(((( She is precious and a Dolly! I don't understand how you can drop that sweet face off at the shelter! Breaks my heart! =''((( a She is a spayed, female, Black and Tan Miniature Pinscher. Only 2 years old. I spent all day networking her all over. I was messaging about Bella all night! Before went to bed had 2 foster options and a rescue in IL to take her but then this morning got the best call ever that my favorite rescue was going to take her.. My friend is with OK yorkie rescue that goes to the shelter every day to look for Maddox so she actually tagged her to keep her safe since we knew she didn't have alot of time.. We acted quickly while we worked on finding rescue or foster.. ;)) I was not about to let anything happen to her! It is nice to have connections in OK.. Just wish I had them other places! ='((

#29 "Jett"

Meet Jett… You may have seen him posted on Maddox’s wall by many who thought he was Maddox in the OKC shelter. I even got calls and texts from people hoping it was him. Although thinner, I thought this might be the call I’d been praying for. Team Maddox went to check, but it wasn’t him. I swear he could be Maddox’s twin brother though & can’t explain it but know he was brought into our life for a reason and he was another one God wanted Maddox to save..

I posted him in rescue groups hoping to save him. A few days later, I was told he was going to be put down, since no one claimed him and he was “growly” and “snippy”. =”((( This is something I’ve been so afraid of for Maddox. I know he will be snippy too at a shelter and I worry if he ever ends up at one, they might not even put him online to be saved … and if they didn’t scan him, well, I just worry. I can’t explain it but this little guy melted my heart and reminds me so much of my sweet baby boy. I was terrified and frantic thinking they might put him to sleep.. So, I started posting him everywhere and fast as I could. Because of my pleas, a rescue in Okc, Dogs As Family, saved him. They said he was full of kisses when they took him out of the shelter! They saw he was hurt (no WONDER he was "snippy"), so he went straight to the vet.

Jett needs help … a lot of help. =”((( Poor baby has been through A LOT.. He has three broken legs.. Yes 3!! The vet said he may have been hit by a car or could have even been in the tornado. The injuries are about 6 weeks old. He has already had one surgery to repair his left hip and start skin grafts on his right rear leg and they cleaned out some of the terrible infection in his leg. Yes, he sat 3 days in the shelter in pain and getting sicker. ="((( BUT, the vet said he is very strong and said Jett will one day be jetting around! But before that can happen he has to have more surgeries and it’s going to end up costing about $2,000.00. If you can help GREAT!! As much as anything, I hope you will share this. Share for prayers, donations, or just love & thoughts for this little guy that has been through so much but now has a second chance at life!! I want to get the word out, since this baby was thought to be Maddox & could be his brother … like the ones in the past that were able to get into rescue or back to their home.. We feel strongly all have been brought to us for a reason & want these precious babies to be happy & be okay!! Jett needs our PRAYERS for a speedy recovery!! This amazing rescue is local and I know rescues all over Oklahoma have had so many hardships with homeless babies. I just want to give them a Maddox paw-up! Dogs As Family is a non-profit and gifts are tax deductible.

#28 "Peanut"

Don't under estimate the power of CraigsList! A guy in Edmond found a lost dog and refused to post about the dog because he "didn't want his info out there", so he emailed the info to bringmaddoxhome@gmail.com. We posted it on Craigslist, apparently at the same time the Owners posted about the loss of their dog. The ads actually wound up side by side The family has been reunited already! Here is a screenshot from CL.

#27 "Mustang"

This baby's time was up, in fact, he was at the Mustang Shelter on borrowed time. Between me & another Team Maddox member Leanne Renz Miller networking him we were able to get him out of the kill shelter!!! It took a Village with several rescues but he is safe!! He is searching for his new forever home!!"

#26 "Baby 26"

Day after we saved Jack and got him out of the shelter got a message saying 2 more little babies were at the shelter. One was a little boy only a few months old that had been surrendered to the shelter by his family. I have learned they do not have to hold owner surrenders for the 3 days so freaked out and started sharing him all over the Rescue world. I am lucky to have made some new connections with rescues all over Oklahama City. This baby was not even on Petharbor so have to think it was because of Donna telling me about him that we were able to get him out of there so quickly!! That was a Friday & he was saved by a rescue the following Monday!!! =)))) If I was still in Oklahoma City I seriously would of went and got him myself.. He is so cute!!

#25 "Jack"

I saw this cute face on an email I get from Petharbor every day of babies in shelters around Oklahoma city area, that fit Maddox's description. Kept seeing this same cute face so I messaged a friend that checks the shelter for me weekly to see if she saw him. She did some PI work for me and foudn out he was in a holding tank. His family was in jail but she said he was safe and was going to be put in adoption program. I sent him to several rescues trying to network him and get him out of there.. I was told he was safe by a local rescue but still kept checking.. Then on May 2nd got a call saying Jackie, this baby has 24 hours!! Oh my goodness I felt like I was going to puke.. But thanks to a friend of mine with a local rescue she saved him for me!She picked him up and he is free!! We are searching for his new forever home! He is very cute and very sweet and just wants to be in your lap and just wants to be loved. ;)) The rescue named "Jack" after me since I saved him!

May 9, 2013: Its with a very heavy heart I'm writing this... Our precious angel Jack crossed the rainbow bridge today... I'm so devastated beyond words & can't stop crying!! =""(((( Thank you Donna for breaking him out of jail so he could be loved his last few days on earth & be with people trying to save him & give him a good life! As you said he is completely healed & playing with all the other babies in heaven! And now Maddox has another angel doggie watching over him & guiding him home!' We love you Jack!! You have touched our lives forever!!

#24 "Mollie"

Saved by a Team Maddox Member who says, "I wanted all of you to meet Mollie. No, she is not a min pin...but was saved and has her forever home because of Maddox!!! She is brown and black though if that counts. By the way, her forever home is with me!"

#23 "Ricky"

On April 25th, I was given a number because was told they had found a Min Pin. I was praying it was my baby but it ended up being a little bitty 6 lb baby boy who was not neutered. I was sad this was not my Maddox but it sounded like he was in good hands & he might of found his new forever home. Then a few days later we saw a listing for the same baby boy on Craigslist, I guess he was not geting along with the other baby at the house that found him so she knew he would be happier with someone else. We did not want him to end up in the wrong hands so thanks to Donna Badger with OK Yorkie Rescue for saving this little baby! We named him "Ricky". He loves to snuggle and is very sweet!! When other dogs bark, he likes to bark & then howl! ;)

#21 & #22 "Mercedes and Yeager

Mercedes

Yaeger

On April 8th we received a text that a Min Pin has been seen a few times in same area but on SW side of OKC. From the pictures it was too difficult for me to determine if it was Maddox or not Maddox. So next day a few team Maddox members decided to stake out the area.. After talking to a few people it was determined the Min Pin was not Maddox since it was a female but she had been seen around the same time every day but in a couple different neighborhoods. They found her and were able to capture her with a few treats & she ended up jumping in the car to go bye bye. Her name is Mercedes! She also had her brother with her.. An adorable Husky named Yeager. After awhile luring her with treats she ended up jumping into a car! Team Maddox gave them warm places to stay until we could find their Mommy. After putting up several flyers in the area they were found we located their Mommy. Apparently they had dug a hole under the fence and escaped!! Silly Dogs.. But glad they are safe and at home with their family! After awhile luring her with treats she ended up jumping into a car! Thanks to Betsy, Debbie, Jenni & Brandi's Dad for saving these two babies!!

#20 "Baby 20"

This baby was found near Boulder Ridge Apts. He was lost but a few kids found him and called me thinking he was Maddox. He was re-united with his family the same night he was found! Thanks to the awareness of Maddox, I believe that is why this baby was found and re-united with this family!!

#19 "Dobie"

This baby is named "Dobie" and was also found at the OKC shelter by a Team Maddox member during a routine check for Maddox. We found out he was an owner surrender & he got a little snippy with the shelter attendants so he was available for Rescue only. I would be snippy also if my Mommy & Daddy just left me at a very scary place all alone.. I was told he is very calm for a Min PIn! ;) He is so cute!!! We networked him all over the place and he was SAVED by a Rescue on March 30th.

Thanks to Tiny Tails Rescue for taking care of him!!! I don't know if the Rescue took him because of us but I like to think Maddox saved him.. Maddox wanted this baby to be okay..

#18 "Baby Min Pin"

This little guy was at OKC animal shelter. He is 3 months & cute as can be but has a dislocated back leg. A RESCUE had to SAVE him since he is injured!!!! Someone dropped him off at the shelter in the overnight drop box. A Team Maddox member Joanna saw him and put a blanket over him.. She was there looking for Maddox. We networked him all over the place and he was SAVED by a Rescue on March 28th! Thanks to Central OK Humane Society for taking care of him!!! I don't know if the Rescue took him because of us but I like to think Maddox saved him.. Maddox wanted this baby to be okay..

#17 "Izza Bella"

Received a call of dog that looked like Maddox run into Apts behind Taco Bueno at 39th expy & Meridian. I searched for awhile and saw nothing, as I was turning around, I saw this poor little guy sitting by the dumpster. He was just laying there looking all sad. Very friendly & let me come right up to him. I gave him some treats, put a leash on him, and told him let's go bye bye. He was limping bad so I picked him up and put him in the car.. Took him to Neel Vet to get scanned and no micro-chip. They said they couldn't take him unless he had their tag so I decided to go down the street to Warr Acres clinic (not sure why didn't go their first) but she scanned him again to be sure and we found no chip. I was not sure what I was going to do. He seemed very tired and skinny and had a hurt leg. A good friend that has been helping me daily find Maddox, arrived right in time and we decided to board him for a few nights at Warr Acres so he can rest. Thanks to Safe Haven for rescuing him and taking care of him! We think he is about a year old. Not sure what breed but he has a long body like a Daschund and has a Rotweiller face.. I thought he was a Rotweiller baby at first! He has some big paws & is very friendly! He deserves a forever home that will spoil him rotten! We named him Luigi.

#15 "TYSON"

Received a call on Saturday February 16th on my Craigslist posting for “SAM”, I was excited when I thought I found Sam’s mommy but it turned out she was looking for a chocolate Min Pin named “Tyson”. Tyson went missing near NW 1th between Tulsa and Portland Ave. I told Tyson’s mom I would keep an eye out for him since I seemed to keep finding lost Min Pins. On Monday, Team Maddox Member, Joanna See called to report she didn’t see Maddox at the OKC animal shelter but there was a cute little chocolate Min Pin there. I interrupted her in mid-sentence and told her I had to call her back. I knew it had to be Tyson. Happy to report Tyson was busted out of doggie jail on Tuesday February 19th and is back home.

#14 "SAM"

Amy’s Liquor Store employee on NW 23rd said he had seen a dog looking like Maddox crossing NW 23rd several times all day. He was concerned because NW 23rd is extremely busy and he was worried he was going to get hit by a car. I began driving around and just as I was about to give up, I found him on another street. I was able to catch him with the help of a guy with a female Min Pin – really works with an unaltered male! He stayed with me a week and I fell in love! His favorite thing to do was nap in my suitcase. He comforted me and was great company every night while I searched for Maddox. We weren’t able to find his owners. I wanted to keep him, but since he ran from me twice – I knew LA wasn’t the best place for him. It broke my heart to give him to a rescue but I knew they would find him the best family. I’m happy to report he has a new loving home! Little Sam touched my life forever.

#13 "BABY #13"

Team Maddox member Cindy Harris found a baby at NW 57th & Mueller in Bethany, she called to say she thought she might have found Maddox. I asked her to send me a picture and I know I was shaking, ended up not being Maddox. Cindy took him to see if he had a micro-chip, no micro-chip but we were able to find his mommy the next day. Because so many people were aware of Maddox being missing, this little guy was saved and went home.

#11 and #12 "BABY BOY & JOHNNIE"

Just as I was getting ready for an interview with a person from The Oklahoman, I received a call from someone who believed they had found Maddox and a little white dog. Again I thought to myself, great Maddox found a friend. I left my aunt waiting for the reporter and drove over to check out the call. Brittany, a person who became involved after finding out about my search, had been following these two dogs since 7:30 AM. She had caught the white dog (Maltese) but hadn’t been able to catch the Min Pin. Just as I pulled up, four other volunteers showed up and we saw a small Min Pin run out of the bushes, we were able to corner him and catch him. Brittany kept the two and tried to find their owners. Nobody came forward to claim either of them but Brittany decided to keep “Baby Boy” and is happy to report he is a momma’s boy and follows her everywhere. The Maltese baby is “Johnnie” and is living the high life with Brittany’s friend.

#10 "ELVIS"

After our confirmed Hobby Lobby sighting of Maddox, we were searching the area and Shad found a little Min Pin at Tuscany Village Apartments. We thought he lived there so we felt okay leaving him. We got a call the same night of another possible sighting of Maddox, we rushed over to find out it was the same little Min Pin from earlier. It was dark, so we decided to come back the next morning to see if he lived there or what was going on. After going by every day and leaving food and asking everyone we could, we found out he had been living on the balcony of some vacant apartments and had been abandoned there since September! Because he was so smart and had learned to live without the help of people, we knew right then we would have to capture him. So armed with a fresh rotisserie chicken we placed it in the trap. It was a couple of entertaining hours as he tried to figure out how he could get that chicken. He wanted it so bad, he would sit by the trap and try to investigate it. He would go to the end of the trap and see if there was a way for him to get it without going into the trap. You could see him thinking as he laid next to the trap, I want that chicken, I want that chicken. Finally he decided to run for it and he was trapped. Elvis was only a year old when we found him, poor guy had been living on his own for six months. I’m happy to report, today he has found his forever home.

#9 "TWIN BROTHER"

Maddox and his twin!

A person who became aware of Maddox, sent me this listing of a baby at Mt. Pleasant Shelter in Texas. I reviewed the picture and thought, did Maddox try to follow us to Dallas the night he went missing? I called the minute they opened the next day, after fully interrogating the person who answered the phone, I was convinced it wasn’t my Maddox. I couldn’t quit thinking about this sweet boy and started networking him to members of Maddox’s lost Facebook page. Thanks to members of Team Maddox this baby was saved and he looks just like he could be Maddox’s twin brother!

#8 "TINY"

Received several calls about a baby roaming the streets near Penn Square Mall with a leash attached to him. I knew it wasn’t Maddox, but I couldn’t just let this little guy run lost. Joanna, a wonderful person I met while searching for Maddox, went with me to try to find him. We searched but couldn’t find him, then just as we turned a corner we saw him. He was a quick little guy who sent us on an adventure trying to catch him. Luckily, some guys had a female doggie and we able to help us catch him. Once I grabbed him he bit me on the lip, but totally worth it to save him. He had definitely chewed his leash that was still hanging from his collar, no tags, but he did have a rabies tab with Neel Vet’s number on it. We took him there and they were able to find his daddy! He was such a cutie and was my best friend after he gave me my battle wound. Totally worth it – he is home safe!

#7 “MADDEE”

After Karin and Cade tracked Maddox’s scent near NW 150th & MacArthur Blvd in the Deer Creek Addition, I was back posting signs and saw a very scared older female dog. She was about to run onto MacArthur Blvd and I was not about to let her get hit by a car, I was able to lure her with treats to my car. She is the most adorable, sweet girl ever. She stayed with me for a night and my friend Stephanie has been keeping her as we look for her owners.

UPDATE April 2, 2013:Today is an extremely sad day, Maddee went across the Rainbow Bridge. We search so hard to find this amazing girls family, with no luck. I’m glad she was able to live her last months with Stephanie enjoying her rides to the late and knowing she had people who loved her. Maddee’s face will forever be in our hearts. Thank you Stephanie for welcoming her into your life and being so loving, compassionate and kind.

#6 “TYSON”

Just as we returned home from saving Bliss, we received a call about another Min Pin found in an apartment complex near NW 122nd & MacArthur Blvd. This nice lady had been taking care of him all day, we rushed over to find out it wasn’t Maddox. My mother-in-law received a call while we were there from a woman who had lost her Min Pin Tyson, she wondered if we had received any calls about a Min Pin that wasn’t Maddox and might be her boy. We were happy to call her and get Tyson reunited with his momma dog the same day he went missing.

#5 “BLISS”

Two different calls come in that a baby resembling Maddox was seen out by Council & Countyline Roads. By the time we got there we couldn’t find him. Callers both saw him on a big family lot with several houses, trees, and a lake with a dam. A fellow friend, Pam helped me search the large acreage but it was getting dark and I continued to call his name – there were so many places he could be hiding. We spent so much time in the dark searching and we decided we weren’t going to have any luck with it so dark, I left food, a ball and a pair of my socks so Maddox will smell my scent, I knew this had to be Maddox. The next morning, I was back at the family farm at 5:30 AM, still a few hours before the sun would rise and I sat anxiously waiting for the sunrise. Pam was there at sunrise and we began searching through the woodsy area near the pond. Several hours later as we are searching the other side of the farm, we see a Min Pin. Definitely, not Maddox, but a very adorable female Min Pin. We spent the whole day trying to catch her, with me staying with her on foot and Pam following behind in her car. Just as I would get close, she would run away and sit down to see what I was doing. After many hours of this, we decided we needed an expert to trap this quick little girl. We called in an expert with a trap. She went into the trap several times, but was so small the trap release never went off! With a lot of help, we were able to sit by her, feed her so much we were finally able to put a slip leash on her. She ate so much that day her belly was so big!

UPDATE:She is definitely an Angel sent to us by God, she is now living in California with us and awaiting the opportunity to meet her brother Maddox, she is such a sweetheart and has been such a comfort to us while we continue our search for Maddox. She is a little girl at only 7lbs.

#3 and #4 “FOUND MIN PIN & FURRY FRIEND”

While searching Craigslist, I found a listing for a found Min Pin in Norman under the Community: Pets Section. They also stated they had found another baby too, I was just hoping Maddox had found a furry friend! After talking with them, I realized it wasn’t Maddox. Hours later while still searching Craigslist under the Community: Lost/Found Section, (yes search both sections) I found a posting for someone who had lost a Min Pin and his furry friend. I pulled both listings up and called with both posters to find out it was definitely a match. By putting the two puzzle pieces together 2 babies found their way back home.

#2 "BABY #2"

Brandon & I are posting fliers in the Landsbrook Addition, this is where one of our first confirmed sightings of Maddox was; we see another loose baby. Brandon & I spend an hour cornering her and I sit down with treats – she comes up to me and I’m able to grab her by her collar. We just got into our car and a lady drove up and said it was her friends dog. Just then, the owners drove up and we were happy to get her reunited with her mommy and daddy.
