#17 "Izza Bella"

Received a call of dog that looked like Maddox run into Apts behind Taco Bueno at 39th expy & Meridian. I searched for awhile and saw nothing, as I was turning around, I saw this poor little guy sitting by the dumpster. He was just laying there looking all sad. Very friendly & let me come right up to him. I gave him some treats, put a leash on him, and told him let's go bye bye. He was limping bad so I picked him up and put him in the car.. Took him to Neel Vet to get scanned and no micro-chip. They said they couldn't take him unless he had their tag so I decided to go down the street to Warr Acres clinic (not sure why didn't go their first) but she scanned him again to be sure and we found no chip. I was not sure what I was going to do. He seemed very tired and skinny and had a hurt leg. A good friend that has been helping me daily find Maddox, arrived right in time and we decided to board him for a few nights at Warr Acres so he can rest. Thanks to Safe Haven for rescuing him and taking care of him! We think he is about a year old. Not sure what breed but he has a long body like a Daschund and has a Rotweiller face.. I thought he was a Rotweiller baby at first! He has some big paws & is very friendly! He deserves a forever home that will spoil him rotten! We named him Luigi.

#15 "TYSON"

Received a call on Saturday February 16th on my Craigslist posting for “SAM”, I was excited when I thought I found Sam’s mommy but it turned out she was looking for a chocolate Min Pin named “Tyson”. Tyson went missing near NW 1th between Tulsa and Portland Ave. I told Tyson’s mom I would keep an eye out for him since I seemed to keep finding lost Min Pins. On Monday, Team Maddox Member, Joanna See called to report she didn’t see Maddox at the OKC animal shelter but there was a cute little chocolate Min Pin there. I interrupted her in mid-sentence and told her I had to call her back. I knew it had to be Tyson. Happy to report Tyson was busted out of doggie jail on Tuesday February 19th and is back home.

#14 "SAM"

Amy’s Liquor Store employee on NW 23rd said he had seen a dog looking like Maddox crossing NW 23rd several times all day. He was concerned because NW 23rd is extremely busy and he was worried he was going to get hit by a car. I began driving around and just as I was about to give up, I found him on another street. I was able to catch him with the help of a guy with a female Min Pin – really works with an unaltered male! He stayed with me a week and I fell in love! His favorite thing to do was nap in my suitcase. He comforted me and was great company every night while I searched for Maddox. We weren’t able to find his owners. I wanted to keep him, but since he ran from me twice – I knew LA wasn’t the best place for him. It broke my heart to give him to a rescue but I knew they would find him the best family. I’m happy to report he has a new loving home! Little Sam touched my life forever.

#13 "BABY #13"

Team Maddox member Cindy Harris found a baby at NW 57th & Mueller in Bethany, she called to say she thought she might have found Maddox. I asked her to send me a picture and I know I was shaking, ended up not being Maddox. Cindy took him to see if he had a micro-chip, no micro-chip but we were able to find his mommy the next day. Because so many people were aware of Maddox being missing, this little guy was saved and went home.

#11 and #12 "BABY BOY & JOHNNIE"

Just as I was getting ready for an interview with a person from The Oklahoman, I received a call from someone who believed they had found Maddox and a little white dog. Again I thought to myself, great Maddox found a friend. I left my aunt waiting for the reporter and drove over to check out the call. Brittany, a person who became involved after finding out about my search, had been following these two dogs since 7:30 AM. She had caught the white dog (Maltese) but hadn’t been able to catch the Min Pin. Just as I pulled up, four other volunteers showed up and we saw a small Min Pin run out of the bushes, we were able to corner him and catch him. Brittany kept the two and tried to find their owners. Nobody came forward to claim either of them but Brittany decided to keep “Baby Boy” and is happy to report he is a momma’s boy and follows her everywhere. The Maltese baby is “Johnnie” and is living the high life with Brittany’s friend.

#10 "ELVIS"

After our confirmed Hobby Lobby sighting of Maddox, we were searching the area and Shad found a little Min Pin at Tuscany Village Apartments. We thought he lived there so we felt okay leaving him. We got a call the same night of another possible sighting of Maddox, we rushed over to find out it was the same little Min Pin from earlier. It was dark, so we decided to come back the next morning to see if he lived there or what was going on. After going by every day and leaving food and asking everyone we could, we found out he had been living on the balcony of some vacant apartments and had been abandoned there since September! Because he was so smart and had learned to live without the help of people, we knew right then we would have to capture him. So armed with a fresh rotisserie chicken we placed it in the trap. It was a couple of entertaining hours as he tried to figure out how he could get that chicken. He wanted it so bad, he would sit by the trap and try to investigate it. He would go to the end of the trap and see if there was a way for him to get it without going into the trap. You could see him thinking as he laid next to the trap, I want that chicken, I want that chicken. Finally he decided to run for it and he was trapped. Elvis was only a year old when we found him, poor guy had been living on his own for six months. I’m happy to report, today he has found his forever home.

#9 "TWIN BROTHER"

Maddox and his twin!

A person who became aware of Maddox, sent me this listing of a baby at Mt. Pleasant Shelter in Texas. I reviewed the picture and thought, did Maddox try to follow us to Dallas the night he went missing? I called the minute they opened the next day, after fully interrogating the person who answered the phone, I was convinced it wasn’t my Maddox. I couldn’t quit thinking about this sweet boy and started networking him to members of Maddox’s lost Facebook page. Thanks to members of Team Maddox this baby was saved and he looks just like he could be Maddox’s twin brother!
