Holly (aka Punkin)

Most of you know since Maddox first got lost, several of us have worked together continuously to save fur babies that need us.. I personally saved several from the streets, shelters, just looking at craigslist, etc. and have continued helping by networking, fostering, transporting, etc.. Well I also receive messages all the time saying Jackie I saved this baby because I was looking for Maddox, etc, etc.. So up to October of last year we had saved 40 babies. And we seriously still continue to save babies on streets & shelters, etc.. It has been amazing to me to see how so many people have been connected all around the country because of MADDOX that continue to save lives!

God is good and is working miracles everyday all around us!! I believe with all my heart & soul this is what God wanted!!! I believe that even though Maddox is still Lost, God just chose him to make a difference in this world! I always knew Maddox was special but realize he is even more special than I ever realized..

Anyways today, I wanted to share an amazing transformation of a baby saved by Betsy McCann with Team Maddox! This sweet baby girl was found back on February 18th roaming in Oklahoma City, she was extremely emaciated, mal-nourished, pretty much just skin & bones. Betsy happened to be at the place at the right time and saw this precious girl. She is like me and would never leave her.. Betsy said it took about an hour to catch her but she finally did and she was so tired and hungry she was just glad to be safe. This precious baby could barely eat. We thought her jaw was dislocated or broken but the Vet informed us Because she was so underweight her jaw lacked support from lack of muscle and fat... The picture with the red background is how skinny she was. And you can't see her face but it was so sunken in.. It broke our hearts to see..

BUT now look at these pictures of her chilling in her bed and look how much weight she has gained! I was sent these pictures and barely recognized her.. Which was so good! I told Betsy OMG, she looks amazing!!! She looks so healthy and happy and loved!!! This is what all babies should look like, they should never look like the way she did when Betsy found her.. ='''((((

So I just want everyone to know how amazing Team Maddox is and even though this has been a nightmare for me.. I do believe it is all part of God's plan and I do believe we were all connected for a reason.. And it is the pictures like this that I get seeing babies saved that are SO HAPPY after we save them makes all my tears worth it!! It makes me feel like I have a purpose.. It makes me realize Maddox truly has a bigger purpose than I ever knew.. It makes me proud of my sweet baby Maddox, it makes me proud of Team Maddox, It makes me proud to be part of such an amazing group of people!!! There are so many stories.. I will try to keep sharing them.. So many babies saved each week.. And even one team Maddox member has transformed several baby birds..The list goes on & on.. All are truly amazing and shows me Miracles do happen every day!!

Riesling

Maddox saved another baby!

Meet sweet baby Riesling. She is around 6-8 years old and was saved from death row at the Oklahoma City Shelter.

This sweet baby girl is Maddox's miracle!!!I I truly believe with all my heart God wanted me & Maddox to save her.. I get emails every day on pet harbor of any baby that fits Maddox's description.. I saw her precious face and he picture tugged at my heart. I reached out to my shelter contacts and said "dare do I ask but what is status of this baby". This was about 5/6pm and the shelter said "she will be pts tomorrow".. I said "NO!! Can a rescue not save her?" and she said " She needs a commitment by 9am tomorrow".. I told my shelter contact.. "Okay pray I can make this Miracle happen!! I will beg! ;))"

I was freaking out and literally started shaking and sobbing and just started posting all over FB!! Copying my message below becaue maybe you can feel the urgency I was feeling..

URGENT!! CODE RED!!! CODE RED!!!!

I was just informed this baby is going to be euthanize tomorrow unless we can work a miracle!!! She has tumors and is geriatric but I think she deserves to be happy and live her last few days at home with someone to love her and snuggle with her and kiss her vs at a scarey shelter!!! And who knows if the tumors are even cancerous!! She is only 10 years old! That is not old for a min pin!!! Please anyone??? Will you save her??? I am begging!!!!! I don't know if she is a stray or surrender but this makes me sick.. I don't believe in dumping your babies at the shelter!! Come on people you don't dump your mom and dad at the shelter when they get older.. You let them live their last days in a nursing home where they are cared for and loved!!! I hate this world so much and it makes no sense!!! Ughhhhhhh

Well Praise the Lord because my friend, a team Maddox member Ann saw my post and she worked magic and found a rescue to save her within our very small window!! This is a true testimony of how sharing saves lives!!!! And Team Maddox is amazing!!! I believe with all my heart and soul, God put us all together for a reason and he wanted Maddox to save these babies.. So please will you share? We have over 5,000 people on this page so even if only a few of you donate $1.00, Riesling will get the vet care she needs to then get her a loving and forever home which she deserves...

If you'd like to keep up with Riesling, or are interested in adopting her, she is in Edmond Oklahoma with One Life Rescue & Rehab.. www.facebook.com/OnelifeRescueAndRehab

Babies SAVED

I have been sharing other lost babies in Oklahoma City recently... So many Min Pins keep getting lost and it breaks my heart.. I have an album so I can keep track of them all and I just want to do what I can to help them find their families.. I don't' want their babies to be gone as long as my Maddox has.. ='''(((

Some good news.. Thanks to my Craigslist posts there will be a Blog written to share Maddox's story on a Min Pin blog (www.minpinmania.org). There will actually be one on Monday and another one after that.. ;))

I broke up some of the babies Maddox has saved into groups and so today wanted to share 8 more!!!! I like to share all these and the stories because it makes me smile.. Since Maddox has been lost has been one of the most difficult times in my entire life but I have always been a believer that everything happens for a reason.. sometimes it doesn't make sense but I know God is listening and God placed Maddox on Earth and gave him to me because he knew how special he was. And I have to believe God knew that I would never turn my back on babies that need to be saved.. He knows how much I have and will always love fur-babies! I get that from my Mom.. ;))

Elvis: Elvis is so special. We found him in let's just say a very rough neighborhood. I found him and figured out this poor little guy was abandoned and he was waiting for his family to come back and get him. He was livid on his own in a patio with a bunch of junk they left behind. When I found him I started feeding him every day.. He never let me get close.. After some investigative work, we figured out he had been living there for 3 months!!! Elvis showed me that Min Pins are very smart and tough and survivors!!! And he also showed me how loyal they are to their family.. He waited for his family for 3 months and they never came back.. I can't even believe nobody tried to help him before me.. I literally watched someone walk right by him as he sat there by himself. I would never do that!! I am a person that I flip u-turns, I always make sure if there is a dog that they have a human with them.. if not I am going to help them! So I did help Elvis! He is now with his new family and is spoiled and loved like he deserves!! ;))

Mercedes & Yeager: These two are brother & sister..The week after I had to leave Oklahoma I got a call about Mercedes.. The Amazing Team Maddox camped out and they found this sweet girl the next morning with her friend.. They were both captured and then taken care of by team Maddox until we found their Mommy.. And luckily this time we did find their Mommy and so they are at home where they belong!

Luigi: This sweet baby was my easiest capture ever! I got a call thinking he was Maddox.. He doesn't look anything like Maddox but I found him and he was laying there by a dumpster.. =(( He seemed like he had a hurt let and was very dirty and thin.. I went right to him sat by him and he was so friendly I literally just picked him up and put him in my car..  I took him to two vets to get him scanned and no chip.. He layed down immediately and took a nap in my car. Sweetest baby ever!! Tried to find his family with no luck and then a rescue took him and he is now with his new family!!

Rascal: This baby was found when we got a sighting call. It is a long story but he was captured and then we took him to the Vet while we tried to find his family. Luckily we captured him when did because a few days after he was at the Vet he got really sick.. We found out he had cancer.. He was not yet neutered.. We were going to do everything we could to save him and then a miracle happened. A team Maddox member was talking to someone where she worked at the bank about Maddox. They randomly told her that their friend had just lost their Min Pin and guess who their Min Pin was!! It was Rascal!! So we found his family and then his family was able to get help to get him neutered to remove the cancer.... Last I heard he is doing good and with his family.. I always think about him because so many different pieces had to fall together perfectly to save his life and they did! God does answer prayers!!

Tiny: This crazy guy was roaming all round Penn Square Mall. I got a million calls about him.. All calls said he was running around with a leash attached to him! I knew he was not Maddox but I also cold not just leave him out there so Joanna and I decided to go look for him.. We found him and oh geez, he was running all over hte place and didn't care about treats, he didn't care about anything. he looked at us like crazy people and would just run off.. I was like Joanna how in the world are we going to catch him! A guy helped us catch him with his female dog..  And then he handed him to me and I ended up getting bit in the lip but it was worth it to save this baby!! He is so cute!! I was not so cute with my fat lip for a week but anything to save a baby..  And we found his Daddy by getting their information from his rabies tag at the vet.

Izzy: This baby girl was another one that we found roaming.. She actually had a collar with tags.. She wouldn't let me catch her but I gave her lots of snacks and was able to get close enough to look at her tag and call her Daddy! Debbie and I ended up sitting with her and just watching her until her Daddy got home.. As soon as he did she ran home.. We were lucky to get the call because her Daddy was at work and had no idea she had gotten out..

Mollie: No, she is not a min pin...but this sweet girl was saved and has her forever home because of Maddox!!! She is brown and black and her Mommy kept seeing her and had to save her! She is the love of her Mommy's life and will have been at her new home for a year on March 1st! ;))

Babies SAVED

And the list of babies saved by Maddox continues...

I picked these 8 to share today because these are babies that I have fostered, transported, or now are my baby girls.. Even though I could only keep a couple of these babies I can honestly say I am totally madly in LOVE with all of these precious ones..

Bliss: Well you all know about her.. She was my first rescue.. I believe God sent her to me. She is my sweet baby girl..

Roxy: This sweet girl was saved from a high kill shelter in California. I saw her on FB and saw that all she needed was a foster. Her family dumped her at the shelter on her 10th birthday!!! =(( I have never officially fostered but her face melted my heart.. I picked her up all the way in Long Beach.. I think it took me 3 hours and not joking to get her.. I picked her up and it was immediately love at first sight! She stayed with us for over a month.. She is now with her East Coast Mommy in Washington DC and I will forever be her West Coast Mommy.. I love her and miss her so much!!! Taking her to the airport was one of the hardest things I have ever done..

Sam aka Loki: This precious and crazy little boy was one I personally saved on my own from the streets in Oklahoma City. It was one Friday night I got a sighting call in a not so great part of town and of course I went there.. I couldn't find him at first and then I saw him.. A nice guy helped me catch him.. I put up signs, posted him everywhere, and could not find his family.. He stayed at my house for a week while I found a rescue to take him.. I seriously LOVE him so much!! The day I gave him to the rescue was one of the hardest things I have ever done.. He slept with me, he slept in my suitcase.. This was early on when I was searching for Maddox and I guess in a way he really did comfort me that week.. He gave me something to be happy about.. My father in law taught him to howl with him.. LOL He was such a crazy little guy and a major handfu!! I don't know where he is now.. He was adopted from rescue and then later ended up at shelter again and adopted again.. I just pray he is safe and loved and spoiled like he deserves.. I do worry about him..

Brownie & Rockey: These two little ones were saved the same day from a high kill shelter in Carson. I picked them both up at the same time. Both were supposed to be fosters but as we all know Brownie is still with me and my other sweet little girl. Rockey is with his forever home in Arizona. He was only with me a week but I still think of him often..

Harley: Oh Harley.. Harley is one all I did was transport from a shelter in the valley to orange county.. He was at my house for only a few hours and I can't explain how much I love him!! I honestly wanted to keep him.. Even Brandon wanted to keep him but we knew we couldn't..=(( At the time I transported him, I still had Roxy and I never intended on having 3 babies... Brownie is our accident.. Harley found his forever home and I am very happy for him!! I still wish his forever home was at my house though.. =(((

Lois & Clarke: These two precious ones, I also transported.. They were feral when they were found as little babies. Brother & Sister.. They were so scared and latched on to each other.. I was so happy we were able to save them from the shelter! Both are with their forever homes..

Each of these little ones have huge paw prints on my heart whether they are with our without me.. I would do anything for all of them and I know Maddox is happy they are safe!!! ;))))

Babies SAVED

I was just thinking alot today about all the babies Maddox has saved since he went missing... I picked 8 to share the other day so today wanted to share 8 more.. I will probably keep doing this until I run out of room. I have ALL babies saved on my website.. But I picked these for various reasons..

First of all one I realized I found a year ago on January 26th.. Her name is Maddee.. She obviously is very different than all the others BUT she holds such a special place in my heart.. This sweet girl was roaming when I was posting Maddox flyers. She ran right past me and of course I wasn't going to leave her.. She was actually really easy to catch and I put her in my car.. She stayed with me one night and then she led me to one of my new best friends in the entire world.. @Stephanie Sessions.. I didnt' know what to do but I knew I wasn't going to take Maddee to the shelter so I plead for help and Stephanie reached out and said she would help me.. I had never met Stephanie but when I talked to her and then met her.. I just knew she was special.. Stephanie took care of Maddee and they were instant BFF's! Maddee went everywhere with Stephanie.. Unfortunately she crossed the rainbow bridge a few months later but gosh I loved that girl so much!!! I miss her and think of her every single day..

Then there is Jack and Mustang who have both also crossed the rainbow bridge.. Both of these little ones were left at the shelter to die.. They both were sick but we got both of them out of the shelter to live their lives loved.. Jack had parvo & we did everything we could for him thanks to my other new best friend @Donna Badger.. She helped me save him and we we both beyond devastated when he didn't make it.. And then Mustang.. His story is more sad.. He was saved from the shelter and then sent off to a rescue and when someone local in Oklahoma City finally got him back he was in bad shape.. His story hurts my heart also but I am glad another friend was able to love him his last few days.. ='''(((((

Brownie

Trying to focus on the positive things that have come out of Maddox being lost this past year.. I shared some of the babies Maddox saved.. I actually printed the collage I made and it is right above my computer so I look at it every day several times.. I love all the babies Maddox has saved... I also of course get home to Maddox's two sisters.. Bliss & Brownie. I shared Bliss with you last week since it was the year anniversary of me finding her.. Today wanted to share Brownie..

is a total accident.. When I had to return to Cali, I guess I felt like since I couldn't go post signs and go on sighting calls for Maddox, I wanted to save every other baby.. The shelters in Cali are so full and it breaks my heart.. There are also so many Min Pins.. I feel like I am sent a new one every day.. Anyways I started networking and sharing and fostering and transporting and doing everything I could to help these babies.. I ended up adopting Brownie from the Carson shelter to save her life.. When I saw her picture at the shelter at only 7 months old my heart just broke.. I knew I had to save her.. Well now she is part of our family.. She is a little goofball. She is quite the baby and likes to cry alot to get her way. LOL I think she is a Min Pin/Italian Greyhound mix because has a very skinny body and skinny tail...All 6 lbs of her..

Her and Bliss are definitely sisters. Sometimes they fight but most of the time they just steal things from each other and play and they even snuggle... She loves to give her Daddy kisses and licks him to death.. And she loves to always be touching me.. She is either on my lap or lays on my legs.. She likes to play with toys but doesn't like to play fetch like Maddox. she just plays and throws things on her own.. And rolls around on the floor with her toys..

I love both these little girls.. They are not Maddox and nobody can or will ever replace Maddox but they have been good for me.. There are times I think they know I am sad since they just lay by me... I can't wait for them to meet their brother.. I will never give up on Maddox.. I love him so much and miss him so much!

Bliss

A year ago today I was searching for Maddox Miniature Pinscher Lost in Okc but instead I found a sweet little baby girl named "BLISS".. I was looking back on my posts from this day and I remember how emotional it was... When I found her I really thought she was going to be Maddox but then when she wasn't I was in tears and so sad she wasn't Maddox but I also fell in love..

She was with rescue for several months while we looked for her family that we never found. She is now living with us in California and waiting for her Brother to come home. She is one of the sweetest little girls but also will tell you when she doesn't want or like something She LOVES to chase squirrels and is not afraid to get a little dirty to climb up the tree! She is opposite Maddox in that doesn't really love toys but will play with them sometimes.. She LOVES treats and dinner time! I couldn't get Maddox to eat ANYthing and she eats EVERYthing! LOL She has her own FB p[age I share pictures and videos called "Min Pin Bliss"

Back then I posted several times a day so thought I would just share the first hand posts from night before and day of that tell the story..  So here is the story... HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLISS!! Today is your special day and your family loves you so much!!!

Jan 20, 2013 Late Evening: New Possible Sighting ALERT: We got 2 different calls that a baby that looked ALOT like Maddox was all the way out on 150th between County Line & Council... We ran out the door so that is why posting now.. By the time we got there he had disappeared in the dark again & there are ALOT of places he could be hiding.. Two different people saw him & both tried to stop but said he was really scared & ran away... =(((( It is a big family lot with several houses & trees, a dam & a lake so it was very difficult to see in the dark but I walked around calling his name but no sign of him.. =(( I left food & a ball & my socks so he smells my scent.. All the family members on the lot are going to keep an eye out tonight & I will be back there BEFORE sunrise!! Please keep the prayers going!! I pray this is my baby & we find him in the morning!!! Maddox mommy misses you so much! Please stay near that area tonight so we can go back to California tomorrow!!

Jan 21, 2013 Morning: Well was at the latest sighting since about 5:30am... Was there way before sunrise & it was not my sweet baby.... It was another very adorable female Min Pin...I've been trying all day to catch her with no luck.. BUT we are trying to trap her now!! Silly girls went into trap twice already but she is so little the lever did not work but she seems to be staying in area so confident we will catch her! I will keep you posted!

Jan 21, 2013 Evening: Well our search for Maddox saved 2 other Min Pins today! It is breaking my heart that neither were my sweet baby boy... But glad we are helping others find their homes!~

Early this morning literally at 5:30am I woke up and drove around & canvased the property from the sighting from last night. Then as soon as the sun rose, I started walking the property, through the woods, around the dam, by the lake, etc.. Then around 9am at the edge of the property behind a shed we found this sweet baby girl.. When I first got to her I gave her a bunch of treats & she even let me pet her so I tried to snatch her up but she bit me and ran away. Then literally all day I kept an eye on her, she would let me get close and sit by her & even pet her a few times but then something would make her run away.. We set up a big trap & put lots of yummy food in there & she went in there about 3-4 times and ate all the food but she was so little the trap door never went down! She even sat on the lever while she ate the food!!! Then we finally captured her without the trap.. I sat by her and distracted her & Brenda slipped a leash over her head! She is now in good hands! Thanks to Brenda!!! She is super cute too!

Then just got back from a call of another Min Pin found around 122nd & MacArthur.. His name was Tyson.. His Mommy called us earlier in case we received calls and as soon as we got the call we knew it was him.. We hoped it was Maddox but it was Rocky so he is now back home with his mommy & daddy!

Babies SAVED

This journey with Maddox has been filled with ups & downs and so bitter sweet. I have had moments where I don’t know if I can keep going. My heart just hurts so bad and I have truly not been myself since my baby got lost a year ago. The love for your child is so powerful and all I want to do is protect him and not being able to and not knowing where his is, is unbearable. I miss Maddox so much and can’t even explain the pain I have been feeling. I know some days my posts are probably really hard to read because I am so down that all I do is cry. I had told myself I need to start being more positive and trying to live my life again.. It’s just hard and especially hard when you have personal attacks against you. I am very sensitive if you haven’t noticed and I really take things to heart. It hurts when people say such mean things. But someone told me “Jackie you are an incredible woman and a warrior for the Lord. Don’t’ ever feel alone or too the point you can’t go on. He is with you always just as I am. He will give you strength and peace if you let him. Satan is attacking you because Maddox has brought so many together that LOVE the Lord. He will continue to answer our prayers.”

I do realize so many blessings have come out of this nightmare also. I have always said everything happens for a reason and I truly believe Maddox was put on this earth to do amazing things. He has already done so many amazing things!

This quote was one that my sister sent me..
“Hard times are often blessings in disguise. Let go and let life strengthen you. No matter how much it hurts, hold your head up and keep going. This is an important lesson to remember when you’re having a rough day, a bad month, or a crappy year. Things will unquestionably change – you will not feel this way forever. Truth be told, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your spirit needs most. Your past was never a mistake if you learned from it. So take all the crazy experiences and lessons and place them in a box labeled “Thank You.” You simply can’t feel real happy unless you’ve felt heartache. You can’t have a sense of victory unless you know what it means to fail. You can’t know what it’s like to feel whole until you know what it’s like to feel completely shattered. And you can’t be rebirthed until you’ve passed on from who you used to be.”
